This workshop is about creating a space where you can come, spend quality time with yourself, switch off, and have a bit of TLC. Doing things alone in public can feel daunting, but sometimes you just crave trying something new or doing something outside of the house. Maybe you live with others and simply want some time to yourself.
In our studio, we create a little bubble for you — a safe, cozy space to try something new, learn a skill, screens off, music on. It feels less scary when others are also there by themselves, all doing the same thing. You get to focus on the clay, work with your hands, make something for yourself, and keep it.
No experience needed. Whether you’re new to solo dates, new to Utrecht, or new to pottery, this afternoon is very accessible. You can quietly do your own thing or gently mingle — both are welcome. We’ve curated the afternoon with warm drinks, soft music, and candles to make it feel calm and grounding.
We’re also collaborating with Ana Laura, friend of the studio and solo date queen, who will share journal prompts, a playlist, and her favourite solo-date spots in Utrecht so you can take this feeling beyond the workshop.

A little note from Ana Laura
Hi there! I am Ana Laura, a friend of the studio. As a true Virgo, I love spending time alone, and it has become a true passion of mine to romanticise my life while also pushing my comfort zone. While on one side I love creating cosy rituals, finding new corners in Utrecht and making time slow down. I also believe there is true freedom in doing things alone that you would normally do in company.
