What to expect

Let’s learn about the art of Nerikomi! Join us for an afternoon of ceramic handbuilding, exploring a new clay techniques and experimenting with patterns and contrast.

Guided by artist Daniel Binnekamp you will embark on a journey filled with patterns, checkers and handbuilding, and learn a new technique that will upgrade your handbuilding and guarantee a unique piece

What is included:

  • All materials and tools
  • 3 types of clay
  • Creation of 1 plate
  • Creation of 1 other piece (using the leftovers and scraps from the plate)
  • Firing and glazing in a transparent glaze
  • snacks, coffee & tea

Pick up: around 8 weeks after the workshop, you will be notified through email so please keep an eye out for it! 

Something about the teacher:

Daniel Ernst Binnekamp (1995) is a Dutch multi media artist living in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He studied at the HKU Utrecht, KASK Ghent, and LHI Iceland.

His works emphasize the importance of whimsy and metaphor to guide conversation and narrative. His medium of preference is ceramics.
